LADSON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - An annual Lowcountry favorite kicks off in Ladson when the Coastal Carolina Fair opens its gates.
The fair is held every year at the Exchange Park in Ladson.
The Coastal Carolina Fair delights kids of all ages with rides, a wide variety of food, exhibits, concerts and competitions.

Tickets are available online and at Circle K.
It opens on Oct. 27 and continues through Nov. 6. Here are the hours posted on the fair’s website:
- Oct. 27: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. “Bring a Friend Free Day”
- Bring a friend free when you come today with a Circle K admission ticket!
- Oct. 28: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. “Military and First Responders Appreciation Day”
- Active Duty, Retired, Veterans, and Reservists, as well as First Responders (defined as Law Enforcement, Firefighters and EMTs) are admitted free with 1 guest.
- Oct. 29: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Oct. 30: Noon to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 31: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Nov. 1: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. “2-fer Tuesday”
- Get 2 ride wristbands for the price of 1. Applies to Tuesday wristbands purchased at Circle K, online, or at the Fair!
- Nov. 2: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Seniors Only”
- Nov. 2 will be the fair’s Senior Day with $5 admission for seniors 55 and older that day. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., seniors will be able to participate in special events and services. They will also have the chance to win prizes, visit booths of various service providers plus all of the exhibits, the Barn, and the agricultural, creative arts, flower, photography and commercial buildings.
- Nov. 2: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. “Free admission with your Sunday Post and Courier”
- Bring a front page of the Sunday, Oct. 30 edition of the Post and Courier for free admission; Only one person admitted free per front page.
- Nov. 3: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. “Circle K Bring a Friend Free Day”

- Nov. 4: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. “Military and First Responders Appreciation Day”

To provide a safer environment, Exchange Park maintains a clear bag policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought in. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and cannot exceed 12″x6″x12″; or must be a clear one-gallon plastic resealable bag.
Small clutches and wallets no larger than 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches are also permitted.
Non-clear backpacks, purses, camera bags, drawstring bags, and totes; along with computers, selfie sticks, animals, video cameras, outside food and drinks, noisemakers and weapons are all prohibited from the fairgrounds.
Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
Admission for Adults and kids 13 and up is $15, which $7 admission for children 6 to 12 years old. Kids 5 years old and younger are admitted for free.
Wristbands for all ages, offering unlimited carnival rides for a single day, are available for $25 online and at Circle K or $35 at the gate on Saturday and Sunday.
But admission is on sale at an advance discount through Oct. 26.
