NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Get ready for a spook-tacular time at the first ever Trick, Treat, & Trail Family Fun Run, Walk & Stroll! This event hosted by Charleston County Parks will debut on Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wannamaker County Park.
This inaugural event is a combination family fun run/walk as well as a Halloween festival. The fun run/walk begins at 10 a.m. and is an untimed event. Runners and walkers should look out for friendly ghosts and goblins along the way! Then, stick around for the Boo Fest, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. The fest will include ghoulish entertainment, face painting, food and drinks available for purchase, and much more spooky fun.
A costume contest will also be held during the event. Prizes will be awarded for the best Halloween costume in the following age categories: 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 20 and up.
Advance registration is required for this event and ends Oct. 23. Registration for ages 12 and up is $15 and 6 -12 is $5. Children 5 and under are free and do not require registration.
