CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - From football to festivals, 5 Around Town has you covered on events in the Lowcountry this Labor Day Weekend.

It’s a big travel weekend as Labor Day weekend is finally here but even through the holidays, you can always find something to do right here in the Lowcountry.

The Edisto Beach Shag Festival is happening this Labor Day Weekend, and this is a 3-day event that promises non-stop entertainment each day.

Experience Arts & Crafts, food vendors, and dance to some local bands like “East Coast Party Band,” “The Entertainers”, “Carolina Coast Band” and many more. Please remember to bring lawn chairs, no smoking is allowed in the park, no coolers and no pets. Find the link to those three-day passes here.

The Lowcountry Jazz Festival is back this weekend from Saturday to Sunday at the Gaillard Center.

This year come out and listen to the finest smooth jazz, soul and gospel in the heart of downtown Charleston. Tickets for the festival are going fast and Saturday, which is Day One of the festival, is already sold out. However, tickets are still left for Day 2 on Sunday, and you can find them here.

Live 5′s Game of the Week is back with two Lowcountry teams that will face off tonight.

Summerville will face Berkeley at home tonight with kickoff set for 7:30. Berkeley is coming off a 34-33 win over Hanahan while Summerville defeated Carolina Forest 33-26 on the road. Tonight’s game is at Memorial Stadium, John Mckissick Field, and you can tune in at 11 o’clock tonight for the return of Live 5′s Friday Night Lights.

Drive safely if you’re traveling for the Labor Day weekend and you can come right back here next Friday for new weekend events from 5 Around Town.
