JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to journey through hundreds of spectacular light displays this holiday season. This year’s Holiday Festival of Lights Fun Run and Walk takes place on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 at James Island County Park. Registration is now open and both nights are expected to sell out soon, so interested participants should sign up today!
Join Charleston County Parks for an exclusive preview of the annual Holiday Festival of Lights during this two-mile, non-competitive run and walk. Runners and walkers will get up close views of the light displays before the festival opens to the general public on Nov. 10.
Admission to the event will be $35 per vehicle of up to 15 people. Each vehicle must have a ticket for entry. All participants should be in the park by 6:30 p.m., with the event taking place from 6:45 – 8 p.m. each evening.
Advance registration is required for the Fun Run and Walk, and this event is expected to sell out. Registration is available at https://ccprc.com/1184/Holiday-Fun-Run-Walk.
The Fun Run and Walk is a wheelchair and stroller-friendly course. Socialized dogs on short, non-retractable leashes are welcome. Retractable leashes, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates/rollerblades and scooters are not permitted.
