The 2nd Annual Charleston’s Fastest Bartender Contest Starting Sept. 25

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The 2nd annual Charleston’s Fastest Bartender Contest presented by Electronic Merchant Systems is back and will kick off at Ireland’s Own / Jagerhaus Pub, located at 3025 Ashley Town Center Drive, on Sept. 25. The contest will continue for four weeks at locations across the area, with the championship event at Ireland’s Own/ Jagerhaus Pub on Oct. 23.

12-15 contestants will face off each week, participating in 3 rounds: shots, mixed drinks, and a 7-step Natural Blonde Bloody Mary. Speed and accuracy will be judged by the Commissioner, Billy Reilly, and will be key to hearing the highly-desired trademarked phrase “That’s a Good One!”™. Weekly winners will move on to the final round, where they will compete for the Charleston’s Fastest Bartender 2023 title, a trophy, a cash prize, and lifetime bragging rights.

The dates and locations for each event are as follows:

-Sept. 25 at Ireland’s Own/ Jagerhaus Pub

-Oct. 2 at Stones Throw Brewery at Northwoods Mall

-Oct. 9 at Reds Ice House on Shem Creek

-Oct. 16 at Pub on 61 in West Ashley

-Championship will be Oct. r 23 at Ireland’s Own. The contest will be emceed by Taylor Coppin.

The Fastest Bartender Contest, established in the 1980s, is a competition designed to put bartenders to the test in a battle of speed, accuracy, and finesse to see who can claim the title of Fastest Bartender. Recognized by bartenders and celebrities nationwide, this intense and exciting event has been held annually at bars across the US. The Fastest Bartender Contest is back for the second year in the beautiful city of Charleston this September & October. It really is an experience like no other.
