CHARLESTON, S.C. (Palmetto Life) – Halloween is just days away and we have details on some events sure to get you in the Halloween spirit. Lots of fun-filled family events are making their way to Charleston this weekend and some are already here.
If you haven’t heard about it already, the Coastal Carolina Fair is back at the Ladson Fair Grounds and you have all weekend to enjoy another year of food, fun, rides and entertainment! This year will also feature a Country Music Concert Series held at the Lakefront stage and is free with your Coastal Carolina Fair admission! A few reminders, there is a clear bag policy at the fair with only one bag per person. See a list of this year’s policies online on our website.
The Bluffton Police Department is hosting its third annual Safety Spooktacular Friday! You’ll have the chance to engage with local first responders, do some trunk or treating and enjoy food and music from a live DJ. You’re encouraged to come in costume—and there will even be a contest with prizes at 6:30 p.m. for people of all ages and even your furry friends! The event will run from 5-7 p.m. at Oscar Frazier Park in Bluffton.
The Fall Festival at Mount Pleasant Towne Center wants you to join them for a day of autumn family magic and furry friends to celebrate fall. This Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. bring your family and four-legged friends to this fun celebration. Enter your pet for the annual Pet Costume Contest. Registration is only $10 with all proceeds to benefit the Charleston Animal Society. You can register upon arrival. Face painting, fun stilt walkers, live music and trick or treating are just a few activities this event is promising.
The City of Charleston Recreation Department will be hosting its annual “Trick or Treat in the Park” event. It’ll be from 4-6 p.m. at Hampton Park. Kids can hop from car to car all decked out in spooky decor for some sweet treats! There will also be a jump castle, hat rides, food trucks and more fun for the whole family.
Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party is coming to the North Charleston Coliseum! Experience your favorite Disney stories live on ice. Explore realms of a variety of Disney worlds and see stars from Moana, Coco, Frozen, Toy Story, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Tickets to Disney on Ice are still available and you can purchase them here.
The Charleston Mimosa Festival is this Saturday from 1-5 p.m. at Johnson Hagood Stadium at The Citadel. This 21+ event will feature mimosas, brunch punch, beer and wine. All beverage tastings are included in the ticket price and food will be available for purchase. Guests can enjoy live music from the Jacob Poole Band, DJ B Folks and more. Tickets are on sale now for $55 and will be $65 the day of the event.
