FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (Palmetto Life) – The city of Folly Beach has announced its plans for winter holiday festivities.
The fun begins on Nov. 26 when the city lights its community tree at Folly River Park.
The event takes place a 7 p.m. and the community is invited to celebrate as the park is lit with holiday lights and holiday songs fill the air.
Then, on Dec. 8, Santa Claus is coming to town! Kids are invited to explore the Santa Shop and “buy” special presents for their parents or create artwork to take home. Santa will be at Folly River Park at 6 p.m.
The very next day you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the 33rd Folly Beach Christmas Parade. Beginning at noon on Dec. 9, the parade features floats and fun.
That’s not the only holiday being celebrated in the city.
The city’s menorah lighting ceremony takes place at 5 p.m. Dec. 9 at Folly River Park. This year is the second year in a row the city has lit a community menorah.
Finally, end the year with all of your friends at the New Year’s Eve Flip Flop Drop. It’s the perfect way to end the year!
“Palmetto Life” is the rebranded name for the old “Lowcountry Weekend.”
